...till we were both dead!"
- Catherine Earnshaw -- This is one of my most favorite parts of the novel, Wuthering Heights, when Catherine is dying and Heathcliff comes to her one last time. In this dark, gothic novel, death and love are closely related, as is obsession and betrayal. It is one of the most moving and inspiring books I've ever read. [Read the death scene/chapter here!] I know many of you are fellow Phantom fans, and I'm sure you would all appreciate and understand this book, too. They're actually quite simmilar, although I do admit to liking the way the story is told in WH better (I find Gaston Leroux's narrative a bit dry at times, I liked the Persian's part better ^^ ). The inking of this took HOURS and HOURS. But I'm glad I pulled through. I tried some new techniques, and I'm extremely happy how Heathcliff's hair turned out. Hearing is believing...
Music is deceiving...
Hard as lightning, soft as candlelight...
Dare you trust the music of the night...?
